  • Built by King of Amer the Govind Dev Temple is a stunning sandstone temple. Originally seven-stories high the temple was partially destroyed in 1670. The original idol was transported to Jaipur.
  • Hare Krishna Temple was built by ISKON society. The temple has become a major pilgrimage over the years.  The temple is dedicated to Lord Krishna and Balram. The daily aarti and Bhagavad Geeta classes are very popular.
  • Kesi Ghat is the most important Ghat in Vrindavan. On the banks of the Yamuna, many pilgrims come to bathe in the Ghat. The beautiful Madan mohan Temple located on the banks of the Ghat adds to the atmosphere of the ancient Ghat. It is believed Lord Krishna killed demon Kesi in the ghat.
  • Banke Bihari Temple was built by Swami Haridas, a great Indian musician. Lord Krishna is in the Tribanga posture.  This is one of the original seven temples worshipped at Nidhivan.
  • Rangaju Temple was built in the Dravidians architecture style in 1851. The temple is dedicated to Lord Rangaji an avatar of Vishny. The temple has 50-feet tall Dhwaja Stambha and six-story tall Gopuram.  A beautiful garden and water tank are around the temple premises.
Vrindavan is known for selection of sweet and savory dishes. Tourist should try lassi and Jal jerra specialties of Vrindhavan. The Mathura peda is also available in the city.
